Inspired by the UK GK show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, the Amitabh Bachhan hosted quiz show first premiered in 2000 and has captured millions across India with dreams of one day getting to the Hot Seat’ and winning 1 crore. But to meet Amitabh Bachhan and answer Computer-Jim's questions, you first need to understand how to apply for KBC. Here is a step-by-step guide for the same.

On May 9, 2020 host Amitabh Bachchan will be asking the very first KBC registration question at 9:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television. This will continue until May 22, 2020. Every night, Big B will be asking a new question. All one has to do is answer these questions correctly via SMS or through SonyLIV.

• KBC registration eligibility criteria
• Here are the eligibility criteria which you need to fulfil to apply for KBC:

Anyone who is an Indian citizen, residing in India, of 18 years or above as on May 01, 2019, and the citizen should be of sound health and mind can register for KBC Season 11.

• No person can participate on behalf of another person.

Any contestant who has made it even once to the Fastest Finger First of the current season (season 11) of the competition or any of the previous seasons of the competition, will not be eligible to participate in the current season (season 11) of the competition.

• How to play KBC online

Big B asked the KBC 12 registrations first question today. He will ask one question every day at 9 pm on Sony TV till May 22. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, all TV and film shoots are suspended. Hence, the videos were shot at Big B's residence in Mumbai.

For the first time in the history of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the auditions comprising a GK test and video submission will be conducted online via SonyLIV app. After the online auditions, shortlisted applicants will go through personal interviews via video calls.

Kaun Banega Crorepati is adapted from British TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The show first premiered in July 2000.
